Establishment

• Myanmar Computer Industry Association was established om 17 May 1998.

 Objectives

• – To lead and cooperate with state and division Computer Industry Associations
• -To implement the objectives of The Computer Science Development Law (10/96) 
• -To organize to International and local contacts for business developing of Computer Enterprise news.

Working Committees of MCIA

1. State and Region Development Committee

Organization the Activities of the Association and member get-together. Increasing the membership, Support necessary service for the members. To be in harmony for the activities of the Division and State Association. To perform the office and general purposes. To register and scrutinize the membership. To conduct and the meeting and make records. To prepare a financial report and keep record.

The future vision of the Myanmar Computer Industry Association, as provided in the Member and Society’s constitution are –

• To maintain the high-test professional standards among the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) fraternity
• To be actively and closely involved in the Government National Policies relating to ICT
• To promote the advancement of knowledge of those engaged in the field of ICT
• To contribute to the development of the ICT Industry whilst safeguarding the interstates of the member of the Society
• To take a public position on the matter of concern to the Society and make submissions or advise the government as appropriate.
• To promote any other related activities that are in the interests of the Society.

2. ICT Development Committee

To Conduct Seminars and workshops for supporting IT Entrepreneur to develop IT. Occupationally invited the local and overseas technicians to conduct the workshops seminars to organize the ICT Exhibitions according to the requirements to develop year by year. To conduct the ICT Award competition at National Level. Domestic Int’l.

3. Public / International/ Government (PIG) Relations Committee

MCIA forms in the International Relationship Development Committee to cooperate the ICT Projects with all over the worlds intend to learn to improving the branch of studies from to other country and get more knowledge. MCIA is the relation

Broadcasting IT Information, Department Information to the members according to the time lie, is intended to be under the computer technology to support the people. We distribute the Association Bulletin besides Activities of Association and Exhibition News.

MOU with Korea Telecom Operator Association

• Myanmar Computer Industry Association(MCIA) and Korea Telecommunications Operators Association(KTOA) had MOU Signing Ceremony on 6th of December 2012.
